Are you doing too much to heal your crohns or colitis?

This is a very important question that you should ask yourself. Are you doing too many different things at once whether it is: a protocol, supplements, or trying new foods. We’re after the same thing to achieve lasting natural remission of our Inflammatory Bowel Disease’s. Early in my healing journey I tried everything that showed any kind of promise. I went out and bought magic supplements, ordered books, and tried multiple protocols at the same time. I have boxes of products that promised instant results yet didn’t do anything for me. Each time my results were lacking I switched to the new best thing. Yet I wondered why my results were not there. I can’t stress how important it is to ask yourself: Are you doing too much to heal your crohns or colitis.

We want to heal NOW!

We expect instant healing because we’re impatient. Modern medicine has taught us that were suppose to get better in an instant… hence the 1 pill cure idea. This is not how natural healing works. We must realize that our bodies don’t become sick in an instant and they do not heal in an instant. Fortunately, our bodies have the ability to heal quicker than the time it took for us to get sick.  Healing takes time… so be patient. I understand that everyone wants to heal quickly but it’s slow and steady progress that gets you healed.  I like to revert back to what I call the “Scab Effect” which is the difference between letting a scab heal without touching it vs scratching and picking it the entire time. One approach will ensure it heals quickly and the other will stay open as long as you continue to get in the way of healing.

How Can You Maximize Healing?

  • Don’t do too many new things at once whether a new food, or supplement.
  • Try only adding one new food or supplement every 7-10 days
  • Keep track of changes and progress using a Healing Journal.
  • Write down how you feel, any symptoms experienced so that you can work backwards if you need to.
  • Be patient with your healing journey. Slow and steady really does win the race when it comes to healing crohn’s and colitis naturally.

It can be frustrating when you want to heal and your results aren’t there. You feel frustrated and eventually that can lead to feeling hopeless. Learn from my mistakes and avoid juggling too many things at once. If you keep things slow, keep track of progress, and adjust along the way you will arrive at your perfect healing strategy. You will also save a lot of time and money in the process.

I wish you nothing but the best in your healing journey!

About the author

The GUT Ninja

Jay aka "The Gut Ninja" Health Hacker trying to pay it forward. I'm a dude whose life was flipped upside down diagnosed with severe Crohns-Colitis, and R. Arthritis. I lost almost 60lbs in less than a year. I felt bad for myself for a few months then I made a decision that I was going to beat this death sentence. I went on a mission to study "remission" what things other people did to improve their Gut troubles and live normal lives. I turned myself into a walking Frankenstein and through lots of trial and error I was able to achieve remission. I've been med free flare up free for 10+ years. My mission is to help other people overcome autoimmune disease.
