My Crohns Disease is Gone! Cured!
I know your thinking this is a bold statement but I’ve been disease free for almost 10 years. Call it what you want cure, remission, med free, or symptom free status. We’re all after the same thing which is to get back to a normal life. A life where we are not chained to a toilet 24-7, or experiencing all the lovely symptoms that come with an IBD. I say this proudly…My Crohns Disease is Gone! Cured!
Cure VS Remission… who cares! what terminology you use to define overcoming your autoimmune disease. The important part is the result which is overcoming your crohns or colitis.
Almost 10 Years in Remission, What does that mean?
It means that for almost the last decade I have had minimal to no IBD symptoms. I have not had bloody diarrhea, and most importantly no flare ups. I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times due to eating garbage SAD foods for 7-14 days at a time. Doing this I experienced mild IBD symptoms such as loose bm’s, joint pain, or brain fog. The symptoms were the signs I needed to put my butt back in line. I went back to my Safe Diet and maintenance protocols in order to get me back on track.
I believe any disease that you overcome acts like a sports injury. If you broke an ankle playing ball the injury would eventually heal. There is also a chance that it may be weakened and prone to injury if you do not give it the attention it deserves. Your gut acts in the same manner. This is why you must have a safe diet, and yearly maintenance protocols to ensure you can maintain long term remission.
It’s a Good Time to have an Inflammatory Bowel Disease
When I was at my worst in 2007 it was very hard to find peoples healing testimonials. YouTube was in its early stages and very few informative videos existed. I had to read through forums for peoples stories and most of their entries were negative about how bad their lives were.
Never has there been so many options for people to utilize to overcome their IBD’s. Whether it’s a multitude of diet approaches, supplements, or alternative protocols. You could do a search online and find a few dozen stories of people who beat their Crohns or Colitis. If you are feeling hopeless you need to change your focus. I want you to spend your time looking at success stories, read, or watch every single testimonial you can find. The more you watch you will feel your hope sneak back. You will start to believe on an intimate level that you can beat this shitty disease!
I know right now you may feel hopeless and that is completely understandable. But I ask you to consider how lucky you are to get this disease now compared to 15-20 years ago. You can beat your IBD and go on to live an awesome life.
This is the truth!
